Setting Up Security Questions

The first time you login to Business Internet Banking you will be prompted to set up five security questions, as part of our Enhanced Login Security feature. These questions add an extra layer of security to your Business Internet Banking experience by recognizing your IDs and password and your specific computer (and browser) to access your accounts.

In addition to answering the security questions, you will be asked if you would like to enroll the computer you're working on as part of your set up. Enroll your computer if it's a computer than only you use. If it's a public computer, do not enroll it.

When using a computer that is not enrolled, you will be prompted to answer two of the five security questions before access to Business Internet Banking is provided. In the event you can not answer the first two security questions, you can request that two other security questions are presented and can answer those to gain access. If the second set of security questions can not be answered, you will need to reset your login.

Resetting Logins

If you are the Company Administrator and are unable to log into Business Internet Banking because you were not able to answer your security questions, please contact ESL to have your login reset. You may contact us via ESL Online Chat, by phone at 800.848.2265, or by stopping into an ESL branch.

If you are not the company administrator and you need to have your security questions reset, you must contact your company administrator to complete this task.

Changing Security Questions:

To update your security questions:

  1. Login into Business Internet Banking
  2. Select "Admin"
  3. Select "Login Credentials"
  4. Select "Maintain Security Questions"
    1. You will be able to select 5 new questions. Answers are case sensitive and each answer must be unique.

Enhanced Login Security

When using a private computer, you may not want to have to answer the two security questions for each login. You can "turn off" the feature that presents your security questions. When prompted to answer your questions, click on the box that says "Enroll this computer for future use." You will not be prompted to answer your questions on subsequent logins. Do not enroll a computer that has multiple users.

To "un-enroll" a computer from Enhanced Login Security:

  1. Select "Admin"
  2. Select "Login Credentials"
  3. Select "Enhanced Login Security." On this screen you have the option to un-enroll the computer.
