ESL President/CEO and Monroe County Executive
Donate Air and Water Show Proceeds

Rochester, New York...ESL President/CEO David Fiedler and Monroe County Executive Maggie Brooks presented a check in the amount of $13,212 to the YMCA of Greater Rochester on Thursday, Sept. 24. The donation was part of the proceeds raised from the 2009 ESL International Air and Water Show, which was held at Ontario Beach Park this spring. George Romell, President/CEO of the YMCA accepted the check on behalf of the organization. Included in the proceeds was a donation from Sam's Club located in Greece.

The proceeds are designated for the YMCA's "Invest in Youth Campaign". The mission of the campaign is to increase financial assistance provided by the YMCA's local branches and to expand accessibility to the YMCA's programs and services for families in the greater Rochester area.

"Through its various programs, the YMCA plays a significant role in the healthy development of children," Fiedler said at the presentation. "And, it is a vital link to enhancing the quality of life for families who reside the greater Rochester area. ESL is pleased that the proceeds from this year’s air and water show will help sustain the YMCA's outreach to families," he added.

This is the fifth year that ESL has been the primary sponsor of the Air Show. The event featured the Snowbirds, the Canadian forces famed elite precision flying team. More than 35,000 people attended the show, which included tactical demonstrations by the A-10 Thunderbolt II, the USAF F-15E Strike Eagle, the US Navy F-18F Super Hornet and the US Army Golden Knights jump team.
