Ralph Rogers of Canandaigua was happy when ESL Federal Credit Union built new offices in Canandaigua and has been a frequent visitor since they opened their doors in December 2007. Since then, each time when he visited the branch, he would ask if the winner of the Vizio HDTV had been drawn and each time, one of the tellers would tell him, "No, not yet."

But not long ago, that changed. When Mr. Rogers asked about the TV drawing recently, ESL teller Mary Askins surprised him by answering, "Yes, a winner has been drawn."

"Not me, though," replied Mr. Rogers.

"Well, actually, it is you! Congratulations!"

And that is how Mr. Rogers learned he was the winner of a new 32 inch Vizio HDTV. He is, however, not the only winner at ESL recently. Warren Jones, also of Canandaigua, was happy to learn that he was a $2500 winner of the ESL Direct Deposit Sweepstakes.

Both the TV Sweepstakes and Direct Deposit Sweepstakes were part of the ESL Canandaigua Grand Opening activities. Members and non members alike who visited the branch and completed an entry form during the promotional time period were eligible to win the TV while ESL members who signed up for Direct Deposit services were eligible to win a cash prize. These were just a few of the activities that took place during the grand opening promotion.

ESL Federal Credit Union opened its 19th branch office on Wednesday, December 12. The site of the new office is 4175 Recreation Drive, off Routes 5 & 20, adjacent to Lowe's and Applebee's, in the Town of Hopewell.
