For Immediate Release: ESL FEDERAL CREDIT UNION to OPEN BRANCH in NEWARK Newark site will be 19th branch developed by the locally owned, financial institution Rochester, N.Y. - A 19th branch is in the works for ESL Federal Credit Union. Officials at the locally owned, financial institution announced that it has purchased a former bank branch building located near the intersection of Route 31 and South Main Street in downtown Newark (Wayne County), on Sept. 25. Renovation of the building will begin on Oct. 12. The branch is expected to open for business in the beginning of March. "This expansion enhances access to our high quality services and products. It is positive news for current and prospective members," said Francine Patella Ryan, ESL's Public Affairs Manager. Founded by George Eastman in 1920, ESL Federal Credit Union is a full-service financial institution with $3.5 billion in assets.
