ESL FEDERAL CREDIT UNION ANNOUNCES AWARD

Rochester, N.Y. - ESL Federal Credit Union received on Tuesday the "Patriotic Employer Award" from the United States Department of Defense for its support of ESL Physical Security Specialist, Edward Ramsperger.

Colonel James Vogel presented David L. Fiedler, ESL President and CEO, and Robert Lukasiewicz, ESL Physical Security Manager, with the award for their support of the National Guard and Reserve. Ramsperger, a former U.S. Army sergeant major, who served four tours of active duty since 2004, nominated ESL and Lukasiewicz, his supervisor, for their unwavering support while he was serving in the Army Reserves.

While he was deployed, ESL employees kept Ramsperger abreast of all issues related to his job via email. He also received several CARE packages from his colleagues. Ramsperger also was supported when he returned to ESL and was re-trained in the new processes of his department.

Founded by George Eastman in 1920, ESL Federal Credit Union is one of the nation's largest and most successful credit unions. A full-service institution with $3.4 billion in assets, ESL serves 285,000 total members worldwide, with 240,000 in the Greater Rochester area, through the Internet, an extensive ATM network, and 19 local branches. The company is headquartered at 100 Kings Highway South in Rochester and can be found on the Internet at esl.org.
