IRA Certificates are a secure, dependable way to save for your retirement because the dividends you earn are tax deferred, which means you do not pay tax on your dividends until you make withdrawals. And, depending on your income, tax filing status and eligibility from other retirement savings plans, your yearly IRA contributions may be fully or partially tax deductible¹.

Individuals may contribute up to $4,000 for the tax year 2006. If you're married and filing jointly, you may contribute $4,000 for each joint filer ($8,000). In addition, depending on your earned income, a spouse with little or no earned income may contribute up to $4000 for 2006.
