Blue Angels to Appear at the
2011 ESL International Airshow

The famed precision flying team will take to the skies at the Greater Rochester International Airport on July 16th & 17th.

Standing alongside the world-renowned F-18 model aircraft, ESL President and CEO Dave Fiedler, and Monroe County Executive Maggie Brooks announced on Tuesday, Dec. 14, that the United States Navy's famed precision flying team, the Blue Angels, will take to the skies at the Greater Rochester International Airport for the 2011 ESL International Airshow this summer. The popular community event will be held over the weekend of July 16th & 17th.

"The ESL International Airshow is one of the most highly anticipated events in our region, and Monroe County is honored to have been selected again as one of the 38 host communities for the Blue Angels in 2011," said Brooks. "We look forward to welcoming the Blue Angels to the Greater Rochester International Airport for their fourth performance in Monroe County — an experience that truly promises to leave spectators on the edge of their seats."

2011 also marks the centennial of Naval Aviation, which will play a large and meaningful role in the Blue Angels' highly-anticipated performance. This is the sixth air show that ESL has sponsored.

"ESL is pleased to continue its commitment to this wonderful community, as we have been doing for the last 90 years, by taking a leadership role in the 2011 ESL International Air Show," said Dave. "The ability for area families to attend the Air Show is just one more example of what makes the Rochester area such a special place to live and work."

In addition to the Blue Angels, several military and civilian air performers will participate in the Air Show, promising to make this year's show the can't-miss event of the summer. This high energy family event also includes various aerobatic demonstrations, ground displays, local food vendors, entertainment and much more.

Further details regarding the Air Show, will be available early in the coming year at www.eslairshow.com.
