ESL FEDERAL CREDIT UNION TO SPONSOR THE EXTRAORDINARY WORLD OF EXTREME MAMMALS

Local Credit Union Presenting Exhibit Sponsor at the
Rochester Museum and Science Center

Rochester, New York... ESL Federal Credit Union is the presenting sponsor of a new exhibition at the Rochester Museum and Science Center (RMSC). The exhibit, entitled "Extreme Mammals: The Biggest, Smallest, and Most Amazing Mammals of All Time", opens at the musuem on Friday, Dec. 23, and remains on display through April 15, 2012, in the Riedman Gallery and surrounding areas.

"Extreme Mammals" examines the ancestry and evolution of numerous species through fossils,skeletons, vivid recontructions as well as objects from RMSC collections. Species range from huge to tiny, from speedy to sloth-like, and display characteristics such as oversized claws, fangs, snouts and horns.

"Extreme Mammals"" examines how some lineages died out while others diversified to form groups of mammals living today. Highlights of the exhibition include taxidermy specimans to recently extinct Tasmanian wolf replica (also known as Tasmanian tiger).

Through the use of dynamic media displays, animated computer interactive areas, hands-on activities, touchable fossils, casts and taxidermy specimans, the exhibition highlights distinctive mammalian qualities and illluminates the shared ancestry that unites these diverse creatures.

Cost of tickets for ESL members and employees is $10.00 and may be purchased at the front desk located in the museum's lobby. Identification is required. Members may show their ESL VISA^® check or ATM cards, or an ESL account statement. Employees may show any of the above or their business cards or paystubs. The RMSC is open seven-days-a-week. Hours are Sunday, 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m and, Monday thorugh Saturday, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
