ESL Named 2011 "Wealth of Health" Winner

April 21, 2011

ESL Federal Credit Union's wellness program and initiatives have earned accolades from Rochester's leading business publication.

The Rochester Business Journal has selected ESL as one of its 2011 "Wealth of Health" Award winners in its annual competition. The award, now in its sixth year, recognizes local companies' commitment to encouraging and fostering healthy behaviors in the workplace.

Honorees for Wealth of Health Awards are judged on the creativity of their wellness initiatives, active participation, ability to effect measurable improvements, sustainability, and outcomes of their program. There are 12 honorees this year, grouped in four categories by size.

"We are thrilled to be recognized for our workplace wellness initiatives and our ongoing efforts to keep our employees healthy, fit, and well" said Vice President/Director, People and Organization Development Maureen Wolfe. "In just a few short years, our 'Be Well at ESL' program has made a real difference. It's clear that many employees are benefitting from the innovative programming, frequent wellness events and activities, and excellent fitness center that are central to the program."

ESL will receive the award at a special luncheon in early June. In addition, its wellness efforts will be among those highlighted in the May 27 issue of the Rochester Business Journal.

Congratulations to Rewards and Recognition's Lisa McLaughlin, Cathy Martz, and Deena Rodriguez who oversee ESL's wellness efforts, and to the entire Wellness Program Team for all it does to promote health and wellness at ESL!
