ESL Federal Credit Union Named One of Top 10 Best Medium Workplaces in America
Rochester, NY – For the fifth time in six years, ESL Federal Credit Union was named one of the best medium workplaces in the country by Great Place to Work®, the global authority on high-trust, high performance workplace cultures.
Coming in at number three on the list, this marks the highest ranking to date for ESL in the six years it has entered this national competition of the 50 Best Small and Medium Workplaces – and the first time the locally-owned credit union was included in the list’s prestigious Top 10. Divided into two categories, small (50-250 employees) and medium (251-999 employees), the list has recognized companies with exceptional workplace cultures for the past 12 years. This honor is further enhanced by ESL having been recently recognized as one of America’s 100 Best Workplaces for Women by Fortune magazine.
“We are truly pleased to be recognized as one of the best medium workplaces in America again this year, and as a best workplace for women as well,” said ESL Federal Credit Union CEO David L. Fiedler. “We believe we can’t deliver a superior experience to our customers without first delivering a superior experience to our employees. In turn, our employees know that their priority is to delight our customers day in and day out.”
Competing against hundreds of companies across the country, ESL participated in a rigorous selection process, which included an employee survey and an in-depth questionnaire about benefits programs and company practices. Great Place to Work® evaluates applications based on five dimensions: credibility, respect, fairness, pride, and camaraderie.
In compiling the list, Great Place to Work® research shows that employees believe they work for great organizations when they consistently trust the people for whom they work, have pride in what they do, and enjoy the people with whom they work.
The complete list of the 50 Best Small & Medium Workplaces (25 Small and 25 Medium Companies), also published by Fortune magazine, will be published today on the Great Place to Work® website greatplacetowork.com and fortune.com, and will appear on newsstands Monday, October 26.
