    How to avoid overdraft fees:

    • Monitor your transactions and account activity with online banking, mobile banking, or TEL-E$L.
    • Set up text or email alerts to let you know when your balance falls below a certain amount.
    • Transfer funds to your Free Checking Account from another ESL account by using an ESL ATM, online banking, mobile banking, or TEL-E$L. You can also call our Contact Center, use chat banking, or visit any ESL branch.
    • Ask about our easy-to-set-up overdraft options, including ESL Cash Reserve, CheckOK, and Courtesy Pay.*

    How to avoid ATM fees:

    • Use your ESL Visa Check Card at any ESL ATM for free.
      • Limit of two ATM deposits per day.
      • Generally, the first $200, $1,000, or the full amount (as described in the Funds Availability Policy) of your deposit will be available immediately.
      • Maximum daily withdrawal of $600.
    • Sign up for direct deposit or Premier Checking and receive five free withdrawals per month at non-ESL ATMs. (Note: The ATM owner may charge a fee.)
    • You can use the cash-back feature at many retail stores by entering your PIN with your ESL Visa Check Card.

     

    Members must be an ESL Online Banking user to use ESL Mobile Deposit. 
    *Fee of up to $37.00 is charged. The overdraft fee can be imposed on checks, ACH and Bill Pay transactions that exceed the balance in your checking account, and ESL Visa Check Card transactions, if you have registered. You must bring your account to a positive end-of-day available balance at least once every 20 days. ESL will not pay an overdraft if you do not meet the eligibility requirements.
