ESL Named One of the Country’s Best Workplaces in Financial Services and Insurance
Rochester, NY — ESL Federal Credit Union is pleased to announce that Great Place to Work® and Fortune magazine named the locally-owned credit union one of the 40 Best Workplaces in Financial Services and Insurance for a second year in a row, ranking number 17, on a list that includes small-, medium-, and large-sized companies in both fields.
ESL is included among several other impressive financial institutions on the list, including Quicken Loans, Edward Jones, American Express, Navy Federal Credit Union, and TD Bank. The list can be viewed at Fortune.com.
ESL earned this ranking based on employees’ responses to questions about their experience at work. Employees answered questions on topics of professional advancement, fairness, camaraderie, and other facets of a rewarding career. ESL exceeded benchmarks for comparably-sized organizations striving to create a great workplace.
“We are delighted once again, to be named to another Great Place to Work® list – especially one that recognizes ESL among other premier financial institutions across the country,” said President and CEO Faheem Masood. “This honor takes on special significance because it is our own employees, who enabled us to earn this ranking. We believe a superior employee experience is key to delivering a superior customer experience. This recognition tells us we have been successful in achieving this goal.”
“Colleagues say their leaders at the Best Workplaces are consistent in their ethics and take an earnest interest in their teams’ feedback when making decisions. This reflects the high level of integrity customers expect from a business entrusted with their money,” said Great Place to Work Executive Vice President Kim Peters.
The Best Workplaces in Financial Services and Insurance is one of a series of rankings by Great Place to Work and Fortune based upon employee survey feedback from Great Place to Work®-Certified organizations.
ESL also ranked on the Great Place to Work Best Small and Medium Workplaces for six years (2016, 2015, 2014, 2013, 2011, and 2010) by Great Place to Work® and Fortune.
