ESL Named One of the Country’s Best Workplaces for Millennials

Rochester, NY — ESL Federal Credit Union is pleased to announce that Great Place to Work® and Fortune magazine named the locally-owned credit union one of the 100 Best Workplaces for Millennials, ranking number 27, on a list that includes small-, medium-, and large-sized companies.

ESL is included among several other impressive financial institutions on the list, including Wegmans, Navy Federal Credit Union, CarMax, and USAA. The list can be viewed at Fortune.com.

ESL earned this ranking based on how positively millennials rated their organizations on different metrics defining great workplaces, such as managers' competence, respect and fairness in the workplace, opportunities for meaningful work, and great colleagues. ESL exceeded benchmarks for comparably-sized organizations striving to create a great workplace.

“We’re delighted to once again be named a Great Place to Work for Millennials,” said President and CEO Faheem Masood. “As our millennial employees continue to grow in departments throughout our organization, it is important that we ensure ESL is providing them with an environment in which to cultivate and enrich their professional careers.”

“Great Place to Work is proud of these Best Workplaces that give their Millennial employees the tools they need to succeed,” said Michael Bush, CEO of Great Place to Work. “Organizations like ESL Federal Credit Union set the bar for other workplaces seeking to retain and develop the next generation of leaders, and prove that giving Millennials jobs with purpose and meaning drives them to give their best at work, benefitting the company as a whole.”

The Best Workplaces for Millennials is one of a series of rankings by Great Place to Work and Fortune based upon employee survey feedback from Great Place to Work®-Certified organizations.

ESL also ranked on the Great Place to Work Best Small and Medium Workplaces for seven years since 2010, and received several other recent accolades by Great Place to Work® and Fortune including 2017 Best Workplaces in New York, 2017 Best Workplaces for Women, and 2018 Best Workplace in Financial Services and Insurance.
