ESL Announces Second Annual Color Corn Hill Contest for Children
Rochester, NY – Children ages 5-16 will have their shot at one of nine prizes, totaling $675, and the chance to have their masterpieces on display at the Corn Hill Arts Festival in July. ESL Federal Credit Union is sponsoring the second annual “Color Corn Hill” coloring contest, which runs through 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 14. This is the third consecutive year the locally-owned financial institution is the presenting sponsor of the Corn Hill Arts Festival.
To enter, download a coloring template/entry form for your child’s age category from esl.org. Each contestant may submit only one entry. The entry form and artwork can be dropped off at any of the 20 ESL branches or postmarked to ESL Federal Credit Union, Attention: Color Corn Hill, 225 Chestnut Street, Rochester, NY 14604, by 1:30 p.m., Saturday, May 14.
Once all entries are received, a panel of ESL judges will choose five First, Second, and Third Place finalists for each age category. Finalists’ artwork will be selected based on overall creativity.
The public will be invited to vote for one of the five finalists in each age category at esl.org/colorcornhill. The finalists receiving the most votes in each category will be awarded a First, Second, and Third Place prize. First Place winners will receive a $100 ESL Visa® Gift Card, Second Place winners will receive a $75 ESL Visa Gift Card, and Third Place winners will receive a $50 ESL Visa Gift Card.
The coloring contest winners will be recognized at the Corn Hill Arts Festival poster unveiling in late June, and their artwork will be on display at the ESL Hospitality Tent at the Corn Hill Arts Festival on July 9 and 10.
“We’re pleased to be the presenting sponsor of the Corn Hill Arts Festival again this year,” said Faheem Masood, President & CEO, ESL Federal Credit Union. “Our ‘Color Corn Hill’ coloring contest was so successful last year, we had to bring it back for a second year. It taps the creative spirit of children in our community, and cultivates their interest in the arts. We look forward to showcasing the artistic talent of our community’s youth at the festival this summer.”
