ESL Announces Winners of the Color Corn Hill Contest for Children

And the Winners Are ...

There was no lack of sunshine and smiles as David Fiedler, CEO, ESL Federal Credit Union, recognized Garratt Mincer, Jenevieve  Modzel, and Abigail Hahm as first-place winners, in their respective age categories, of the ESL “Color Corn Hill” coloring contest. The three were acknowledged in conjunction with the Corn Hill Neighbors Association annual unveiling of the Corn Hill Arts Festival Commemorative Poster, on June 24. Each received a $100 ESL Visa® Gift Card and their framed artwork from Fiedler during the ceremony.

More than 100 children, ages 4-12 from the Greater Rochester area, submitted their works for consideration. The artwork was judged based on creativity and use of color. First, second, and third place winners were selected from each age category, and each received a $100, $75, and $50 ESL Visa® Gift Card, respectively. The contest winners’ artwork will be on display at the ESL Hospitality Tent (Lunsford Circle near the Gazebo Stage) at the Corn Hill Arts Festival, on July 11 and 12.

This is the second consecutive year the locally-owned financial institution is presenting sponsor of the Corn Hill Arts Festival. “ESL is pleased to lend our support, once again, as the presenting sponsor of this year’s festival,” said Fiedler. “ESL and the Corn Hill Arts Festival both recognize that the arts enhance our quality of life in the Greater Rochester community, making it a great place to live, work, and raise a family. This year we took another step and launched Color Corn Hill, as a way to tap into the creative spirit of children in our community and cultivate their interest in the arts.”
