ESL Employees Raise Funds to Support the Irondequoit Food Cupboard
Rochester, NY — In an effort to raise funds to support the Irondequoit Food Cupboard, ESL Federal Credit Union employees recently held a food tasting event at the local credit union’s Chestnut Street location. More than $1,000 was donated to the Irondequoit Food Cupboard. The funds, raised through the sale of employee-prepared soups, stews, and chili, were supplemented by a contribution from the ESL Charitable Foundation.
“As part of our wellness initiative, the food tasting provided employees with healthy recipes that they could prepare for their families,” said Maureen Wolfe, the company’s senior vice president/director, human resources and community relations. “In addition, this event underscored one of ESL’s core values—caring about people. By raising funds through the sale of their specialties, employees were able to provide the Irondequoit Food Cupboard with additional monies for the ongoing care and support of its clients.”
