ESL Federal Credit Union Named One of the Country’s Best Medium Workplaces for 2025

Rochester, NY — ESL Federal Credit Union is pleased to announce that Great Place to Work® and Fortune magazine named the locally-owned financial institution one of the country’s Best Medium Workplaces for 2025.

ESL ranked #80 on the list of 100 companies. The financial institution is included among several other respected Rochester-based medium, and small employers, including First American Equipment Finance in Victor.

“We are deeply honored to once again be recognized on the list of the Best Medium Workplaces in the US as it highlights the incredible commitment of our employees and to our community,” said Maureen Wolfe, executive vice president/director, human resources & community impact. “Through continuous evaluations and feedback, we work together to provide a workplace culture that fosters support and growth while ensuring a superior customer experience for all.”

To determine the Best Medium Workplaces in the country, Great Place to Work® provides an opportunity for every employee at every GPTW-certified company to complete a survey. The company’s “For All Methodology” builds on the Trust Model by ensuring that every single employee, no matter who they are or what they do for their company, is having a consistently positive experience at work. Positive workplace culture, employee benefits, opportunities for growth, and flexibility are significant factors listed among employees who participate in the survey.

In June, ESL was recognized by Great Place to Work and Fortune magazine as one of the Best Workforces in New York State. ESL ranked #19 out of 100 companies on that list.
