ESL Names Cynthia Langston and Warren Hern to Board of Directors

Rochester, NY — ESL Federal Credit Union announces the recent appointment of Cynthia Langston and Warren Hern as the newest members of its Board of Directors.

Langston is the Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer for Excellus BlueCross BlueShield, where she has worked since 2014. In addition to her current role, she has held several senior management positions with the company, including Senior Vice President, Chief Analytics and Data Officer, and Vice President, Enterprise Project Delivery Organization.

Hern is the President and CEO of East Bay Ventures. His prior experience includes serving in multiple leadership capacities, including that of Co-CEO of Rochester Regional Health System, and President and CEO of Unity Health System.

Langston has over 30 years of experience in the field of information technology and consulting. She is actively involved in the community, serving as board chair of the YWCA of Rochester and Monroe County; member of the Women’s Leadership Council of the United Way of Greater Rochester and the Finger Lakes; and is the past chairwoman of the YWCA Racial Justice Committee and Stand Against Racism events. She holds a B.S. degree in computer technology from Purdue University and an MBA from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management.

In addition to Hern’s professional career, he also serves on the boards of Center for Government Research, the Venture Jobs Foundation, and Enhanced Care MD and he is the founding chairman of the Academy of Health Science Charter School in Rochester. He has an MBA, with a focus on finance from the Rochester Institution of Technology.

The Board of Directors for ESL Federal Credit Union consists of a diverse group of influential and successful leaders from a broad spectrum of disciplines. This distinguished group of men and women oversees the various activities of ESL and helps ensure the organization’s long-term profitability and sustainability.

With Langston’s and Hern’s appointments, the ESL board is composed of 11 directors, 10 of which are independent volunteers.
