Rochester, NY – Faheem A.R. Masood formally assumed his new role today as President  & CEO of ESL Federal Credit Union. Masood was appointed to this position by the board of directors in October 2015, following its announcement of the intent of CEO David L. Fiedler to retire on March 1. Fiedler served as CEO of the locally-owned financial institution since March 2003.

“The decision by the board to appoint Faheem President & CEO was unanimous,” said Clayton H. He understands ESL’s mission and its commitment to providing financial solutions for people and businesses connected to Rochester and the surrounding communities. His leadership qualities, combined with his team management style and strategic focus, make him a perfect fit for ESL’s culture.”

“ESL is an exceptional organization, and it is a privilege to serve as CEO,” said Masood. “I’m excited, but also humbled, to have the opportunity to lead the largest locally-based financial institution. I also have a sense of pride because I’ve been able to grow with ESL. It’s a special place to be, and it’s an honor to have the opportunity to lead our team.”
