Maureen Wolfe Named Women of Excellence Finalist

Rochester, NY — The Rochester Business Journal recently announced Maureen Wolfe, senior vice president/director, human resources & community impact, ESL Federal Credit Union, as a finalist for the 2021 Women of Excellence Award. The award recognizes high-achieving women for their tremendous career accomplishments. The women are selected based on their:

  • Professional experience
  • Community involvement
  • Leadership
  • Sustained commitment to mentoring

Wolfe earned her Bachelor’s from the State University of New York at Geneseo and her MBA from the Rochester Institute of Technology. She held a variety of human resource and management roles before joining the ESL team in 2005 as talent management manager. She was promoted to vice president in 2008 and to her current role as senior vice president in 2012.

Wolfe oversees six crucial teams at ESL in the human resources & community impact department: community impact, diversity, equity & inclusion, employee communications & engagement, learning & development, talent acquisition & employee relations, and total rewards. Under Wolfe’s leadership, ESL has been consistently recognized for exceptional workplace practices, having been named a Great Place to Work® 10 times since 2010.

Committed to uplifting the Greater Rochester community and giving back, Wolfe volunteers countless hours of her time to support area nonprofits. She currently serves as a member of the Rochester Monroe Anti-Poverty Initiative, and on the boards of the Monroe Community College Foundation and Thompson Health.
