ESL Federal Credit Union Names Steven Schmidt Vice President/Director, Credit Management & Administration

Rochester, NY – ESL Federal Credit Union recently named Steven Schmidt as vice president/director, credit management and administration. In his new role, Schmidt will oversee all administrative credit functions of the company, including credit risk, consumer lending, and loan payment solutions.

Schmidt joined ESL in 2011 as manager, consumer lending. Prior to his employment with ESL, Schmidt served as branch manager, American Airlines Credit Union; chief executive officer, United Food & Commercial Workers, Local 342 Federal Credit Union; and most recently, director, operations, Sperry Associates Federal Credit Union, in Nassau County, New York.

Schmidt holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration, with concentration in finance, from Rochester Institute of Technology. He currently serves as an officer of Mendon Conservation League.

Schmidt resides in Pittsford with his wife and two children.
