John Paul PerezExecutive Director, Community Impact
John Paul joined the ESL Community Impact Team in 2023 with more than 25 years of non-profit management experience. His previous work includes supporting investments to assist Greater Rochester residents with housing needs and designing strategic initiatives to uplift the community.
As Executive Director, John Paul is responsible for the operational management of the ESL Charitable Foundation and the ESL Community Impact team of relationship managers. He assists ESL with strategic philanthropic community investment aligned with four areas of impact: expanding individual opportunity, building strong neighborhoods, strengthening local organizations and systems, and uplifting community stories.
John Paul earned a Master of Science in Marriage & Family Therapy from Eastern Nazarene College and an MBA from the Simon Business School at the University of Rochester. He currently serves on the Board of Trustees for Keuka College. He also values capturing picturesque moments with his camera and creating lasting memories with his wife and two children.
