Reconnect Rochester’s Complete Streets Makeover Program

Reconnect Rochester is a local nonprofit that advocates for safe, equitable roads for both pedestrians and motorists. [disclosure: ESL is a funder of Reconnect Rochester]

The Complete Streets Makeover program relies on community input to help identify unfriendly and/or dangerous intersections in need of a new design. The program requires collaboration and commitment from a multitude of community partners, as well as residents, stakeholders, and volunteers in the neighborhood where the project is taking place.

A “complete street” is where everyone—regardless of age, ability, or mode of transportation—has safe access on that street.
