As part of the Economic Aid to Hard-Hit Small Businesses, Nonprofits and Venues Act (Economic Aid Act), we are seeing more resources becoming available to help businesses manage through the COVID-19 pandemic. The Small Business Administration has created or expanded programs that provide crucial financial assistance for businesses.

SBA Paycheck Protection Program (PPP)

UPDATED, May 5, 2021

On May 4, 2021, the SBA confirmed that congressionally provided funding for SBA PPP loans is exhausted. Therefore, effective immediately, ESL is no longer accepting new PPP loan applications.

ESL will contact business customers who submitted an application, that was not yet approved by the SBA prior to funds being exhausted, shortly to update them on the status of their application and review alternative solutions to help them and their business.

SBA Restaurant Revitalization Fund

Updated, April 30, 2021

The American Rescue Plan Act established the Restaurant Revitalization Fund (RRF) to provide emergency assistance for eligible restaurants, bars, and other qualifying businesses impacted by COVID-19.

Registration for the SBA application portal will begin on Friday, April 30, 2021, at 9 a.m. Applications will open on Monday, May 3, 2021, at 12 p.m.
