Berta RiveraCommunity Impact Relationship Manager
Berta brings more than a dozen years’ experience to her role with ESL’s Community Impact team. She previously led operations for CASH at Empire Justice Center, most known for offering Rochester’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program. As a Community Impact Relationship Manager, she is committed to the team’s work being done to help build a healthy, resilient, and equitable Greater Rochester. In her day-to-day activities, Berta is focused on building relationships with nonprofit and other community leaders, aligning efforts, and funding initiatives that help organizations and the people they serve throughout community.
Berta graduated with a bachelor’s in Applied Sciences from the Rochester Institute of Technology. She volunteers her time with many community-based organizations including Monroe County Language Access Coalition, Rochester Monroe Anti-Poverty Initiative, and Rochester Housing Authority.
When not at work, Berta enjoys spending quality time with her daughter.
