Everyone is welcome at Homesteads for Hope, the only community farm of its kind in our region.
When Jennyrae Brongo visited the farm with her brother and saw its therapeutic qualities firsthand, she was instantly inspired to grow it into something even greater.
Homesteads for Hope now fills a critical need for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, providing an inclusive space to learn, work, live and grow in nature’s classroom. These opportunities, as well as community events and programs led by Program Director Rebecca Tschudy, are open for people of all abilities to enjoy.
And the Homesteads team is just getting started: With support from John Felice, Business Banking Relationship Manager with ESL, Jennyrae plans to expand the property to include living spaces for the apprentices on the farm.
As the Homesteads’ mission progresses with help from partners like ESL, our entire community reaps the transformative benefits of belonging to something bigger.
