Wire Transfer Instructions 

If you are having funds sent to your ESL account, here’s the information you need to provide the originating financial institution:

For incoming domestic wires:

Other Important Considerations

If an incoming wire has not yet been credited to your account:

• You may need to wait until the next time wires are processed to see if the wire has been received.
• You may want to call the originating financial institution to verify the date and time the wire was sent. 
• In order to research international wires, you must obtain a copy of the original SWIFT message from the originating bank.

The last incoming wire is processed at 3:45 p.m. Monday-Friday (ET). ESL does not send or receive wires on Saturdays. 

Wire Transfer Instructions

If you are sending funds from your ESL account to another financial institution, review and complete the domestic form for banks located in the U.S., or fill out the international form for financial institutions outside the U.S.:

If you wish to send funds from your ESL account to another financial institution on a recurring basis, please contact us at 585.336.1000, visit any ESL branch, or use chat banking.

Wire Instructions Needed from Receiving Bank

If you will be sending funds from your ESL account to another financial institution (inside or outside of the U.S.), you will need to provide ESL with the following information from the receiving bank:

• Receiving bank ABA or SWIFT number (for international wires)
• Beneficiary account number or IBAN (for international wires)
• Beneficiary name(s)
• Beneficiary address (the physical address of the beneficiary is mandatory for all outgoing wires)
• Beneficiary contact number

Other Important Considerations

• The purpose of the wire is mandatory for all outgoing wires.
• Outgoing wires must be submitted by 3 p.m. Monday-Friday (ET) to ensure same-day processing. Wires submitted after 3 p.m. will be processed the next business day. ESL does not send or receive wires on Saturdays.
• If you cannot come to an ESL branch to send an outgoing wire, you must provide a written request with your signature. ESL will need to verify your written request and signature before an outgoing wire can be processed.
• If not completing this form at an ESL branch, please attach completed form to a secure email through ESL Online Banking (see steps below) OR fax completed form to 585.336.1138. If your request is over $2,000, you must send this completed form through secure email.
  • To send a secure email through ESL Online Banking, please log into your account.
    • Hover over Member Center and click Secure Email.
    • Choose New Message and then select Wire Transfer from Type drop down.
  • All International Wire Transfer Requests require an ESL Representative to contact you.
