ESL Named One of the Country’s Best Workplaces For Millennials
Rochester, NY — ESL Federal Credit Union is pleased to announce that Great Place to Work® and Fortune magazine named the locally-owned credit union one of the 100 Best Workplaces for Millennials, ranking number 30, on a list that includes small-, medium-, and large-sized companies.
ESL is included among several other impressive financial institutions on the list, including Quicken Loans, Wegmans, Navy Federal Credit Union, GoFundMe, and REI. The list can be viewed at Fortune.com.
ESL earned this ranking based on how positively millennials rated their organizations on different metrics defining great workplaces, such as managers' competence, respect and fairness in the workplace, opportunities for meaningful work, and great colleagues. ESL exceeded benchmarks for comparably-sized organizations striving to create a great workplace.
“We’re delighted to be named to another Great Place to Work® list — especially one that clearly acknowledges ESL’s response to its growing millennial workforce,” said President and CEO Faheem Masood. “This honor takes on special significance because it is our own young professionals, who enabled us to earn this ranking. We believe a superior employee experience is key to delivering a superior customer experience. This recognition tells us we have been successful in achieving this goal.”
"Millennials expect more from their employers in areas like fair treatment, clear communication, authentic leadership and opportunities for advancement — and rightly so. The Best Workplaces for Millennials are finding that fulfilling all these expectations by building a high-trust culture boosts Millennial employees’ intent to stay by 20 times,” said Michael Bush, CEO of Great Place to Work.
The Best Workplaces for Millennials is one of a series of rankings by Great Place to Work and Fortune based upon employee survey feedback from Great Place to Work®-Certified organizations.
ESL also ranked on the Great Place to Work Best Small and Medium Workplaces for six years (2016, 2015, 2014, 2013, 2011, and 2010), and received several other recent accolades by Great Place to Work® and Fortune including 2016 Best Workplaces to Retire From, 2016 Best Workplaces for Women, and 2017 Best Workplace in Financial Services and Insurance.
