Mikalya MillerNewark High School
A caring, involved, and passionate member of her community, Mikalya has impressive experience in community service, sports, and school clubs while maintaining challenging college-level coursework. Mikalya currently works at a psychologist’s office as an assistant, providing her with skills she will use throughout her career as a prospective clinical psychology student. She serves as a student council student body president and is involved in six different music ensembles at her high school. Mikalya also makes time to be a three-sport athlete and volunteer with many local organizations, including creating a pollinator garden at her school through Girl Scouts. She has earned numerous awards and recognitions for her academic and athletic achievements, such as Scholar Athlete, Newark Chamber of Commerce Outstanding Youth Award, George Eastman Young Leaders Award, as well as received a Coaches Award in both Track and Field, and Volleyball.
