Digital Account Opening for Select Certificate Terms

Open a certificate online. Answer a few simple questions and in less than five minutes you will have created and funded your new account. The “Fund Later” option is not available for certificates; please select Bank Transfer as your funding option.

Current members

Let an ESL representative know what additional accounts you are interested in opening and provide the minimum opening amount in cash, transfer from another ESL account, or with a check. Or, you can open your additional account online (digital account opening is available for certain certificate terms only.)

New members

  • Complete and sign the Membership Application Form. Or open a new membership/certificate account online (digital account opening is available for certain certificate terms only).
  • Provide a copy of a valid and current form(s) of identification (see table below):
    • One Primary form of ID from List A, OR
    • One Secondary form of ID from List B AND one Secondary form of ID from List C
  • Non-Resident Alien must provide all of the following:
    • Unexpired Passport from Country of Origin (cannot be from an OFAC blocked country)
    • One form of ID from either List B or List C (see table below)
    • Proof of U.S. physical address

*Please contact us if the address on your ID is not your current address, is a P.O. Box or an address isn’t listed. Further information will be needed to process your membership request.
