    • One low monthly fee. Pay one low monthly fee to avoid unpredictable overdraft fees and keep your budget on track.
    • No overdraft fees. You can only spend the money you have in your account, which helps you avoid unexpected overdraft fees.
    • No checks. Who needs checks? Just use your ESL Visa® Check Card, online banking, and mobile banking to make purchases and pay bills.
    • No minimum balance fees.
    • Only a $1 requirement to open and maintain the account.
    • ESL Visa Check Card. Use it anywhere Visa is accepted.
    • ESL online banking and online bill pay.
    • Mobile banking app for smartphones, iPads®, and Android™ tablets (apps are available in the App Store℠, Google Play Store, and Amazon Appstore).
    • Mobile deposit and mobile bill pay.
    • Text banking and mobile web banking.
    • Unlimited ATM withdrawals at any ESL ATM when you use your ESL Visa Check Card.
      • Limit of two ATM deposits per day with your first $200 daily deposit available immediately.
      • Maximum daily withdrawal of $600.
      • Up to five free ATM withdrawals per month at non-ESL ATMs with direct deposit. (Please remember that the ATM owner may charge a fee.)

    The Basics
    • Open your account with $1 or more.
       
    • Checks are not available for this account; however, there are numerous ways to make purchases and pay bills, such as:
      • The ESL Visa® Check Card
      • Online and Mobile Bill Pay
      • Automatic withdrawals directly from your account
      • Money Order/Cashier’s Check
    • No Overdraft Fees:
      • You can only spend the money you have in your account.
      • If you do not have enough money in your account to process a transaction, the transaction will be declined.
      • Since there are no overdraft fees for this account, overdraft protection services are not available.
      • If a business processes your payment as a check, ESL will reject the check and the payment will not be made. Although you will not be charged a fee by ESL, you may be charged a fee by the business you’re paying.
    Managing your Balance

    With ESL Simple Spending, managing your accounts is a breeze. There are no unexpected overdraft fees so you can always stay on top of your balance.

    Here are a few other helpful tips:

    • Monitor your transactions and account activity with online banking, mobile banking, or TEL-E$L.
    • Set up text or email alerts to let you know when your balance falls below a certain amount.
    • Transfer funds to your Simple Spending Account from another ESL account by using an ESL ATM, online banking, mobile banking, or TEL-E$L. You can also call our Contact Center, use chat banking, or visit any ESL branch.

    How to avoid ATM fees:

    • Use your ESL Visa Check Card at any ESL ATM for free.
      • Limit of two ATM deposits per day with your first $200 daily deposit available immediately.
      • Maximum daily withdrawal of $600.
    • Sign up for direct deposit and receive five free withdrawals per month at non-ESL ATMs. (Note: The ATM owner may charge a fee.)
       
    • You can use the cash-back feature at many retail stores by entering your PIN with your ESL Visa Check Card.

    If a check is presented for payment, it will not be paid and will be returned to the maker even if there are sufficient funds in the account. Must be an ESL member who uses online banking to access mobile banking.
