ESL Federal Credit Union Named One of Best 2016 Medium Workplaces in America
Sixth Time in Seven Years Locally-Owned Credit Union Named to List
Rochester, NY — For the sixth time in seven years, ESL Federal Credit Union has been named one of the best medium workplaces in the country by Great Place to Work®, the global authority on high-trust, high performance workplace cultures.
Coming in at #25 on a newly expanded list of 100 (vs. 25) medium companies – which for the first time includes employers with 100-999 employees – this honor tops off a year in which ESL also has been recognized by Great Place to Work® and Fortune magazine as one of the country’s Best Workplaces for Women, Best Workplaces in Financial Services & Insurance, and Best Workplaces to Retire From.
The complete list of the 50 Best Small and 100 Best Medium Workplaces were announced earlier this morning on the Great Place to Work® website and fortune.com. It also will appear in the November issue of Fortune magazine, which will be available at newsstands later this month. All rankings were revealed last night at an awards ceremony in Austin, Texas.
“It’s an honor to once again be included on this impressive list of companies from around the country,” said ESL Federal Credit Union President & CEO Faheem Masood. “Our commitment to creating a superior employee experience and a unique workplace culture is an integral part of our success. We know both play a significant role in delivering a superior experience to our customers.”
Being ranked on the Great Place to Work® Best Small & Medium Workplaces list, now in its 13th year, reflects an organization’s commitment to employees and the benefits of being a great workplace. Rankings are based entirely upon feedback gleaned via an anonymous Trust Index survey© from more than 52,000 employees at Great Place to Work-certified companies.
Results from the survey are highly reliable, having a 95 percent confidence level and a margin of error of five percent or less. Winning a spot on this list indicates ESL has distinguished itself from peers by creating a great place to work for all. Not only do the majority of ESL employees experience the company as a great place to work, but this experience is consistent across the organization — regardless of gender, race/ethnicity, job role, or other personal characteristics.
