• Once you’re approved, the maximum amount you can borrow will be based on the value of your collateral
• Loan approval is good for 30 days
• The interest rate is based on rates in effect on the day of your application
• Please remember that ESL must be the first lien holder

How Much Can You Borrow?

The following information will give you a clear idea of the maximum loan amounts available from ESL: 

• New RVs: Up to 90% of the National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) suggested list value
• Used RVs: Up to 120% of the National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) used wholesale value
• New power boats (14 – 25 feet): Up to 90% of the National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) high retail value
• Used boats (14 – 25 feet): Up to 120% of the National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) used trade-in value
• New motorcycles, snowmobiles, ATVs, and jet skis: Up to 90% of the National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) average retail value
• Used motorcycles, snowmobiles, ATVs, and personal watercraft: Up to 110% of the National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) rough trade-in or wholesale value

Please remember that the maximum amount you can borrow depends on the kind of vehicle you want to buy and your current credit rating. ​

A Wide Range of Flexible Terms

• RVs: 6-120 months – for terms greater than 60 months, the minimum loan amount is $15,000
• Boats: 6-120 months – for terms greater than 60 months, the minimum loan amount is $15,000
• Motorcycles, snowmobiles, ATVs, and jet skis: 6-60 months

Potential Loan Late Fees After Opening Your Account

Loan late fees vary. Below are the late fees for new loans issued. Contact an ESL Representative by phone at 585.336.1000 or 800.848.2265, use chat banking, or visit an ESL branch to determine your late fee for a loan issued previously.
 

Motorcycle, Snowmobile, ATVs, and Watercraft Loans
Late fees of 10% of the overdue payment of interest and principal are charged if we have not received the full monthly payment 15 calendar days after the scheduled due date.
 

Recreational Vehicle Loan
Late fees of 10% of the overdue payment of interest and principal are charged if we have not received the full monthly payment 15 calendar days after the scheduled due date.

Borrowers AND co-borrowers must be at least 18 years old to apply.

Required Documentation:

For all vehicles:

• The bill of sale from the dealer or private party seller
• A copy of the most recent pay stub for borrower and co-borrower may be required

For boats, motorcycles, and RVs:

• Copies of the title and bill of sale are required for private purchases
