Call Certificates

• Earn a higher Annual Percentage Yield (APY) than regular certificates, thanks to the special call feature.
• Available in 24-month and 60-month terms.
• Rate guaranteed for the first six months of a 24-month term or the first 12 months of a 60-month term.
• Minimum deposit: $500. 
• Dividends are paid quarterly.
• Dividends can be reinvested, deposited into an ESL account, or paid directly to you.
• Paid dividends can be withdrawn at any time without a penalty.
• Your funds are insured (up to $250,000) through the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA).

Call certificates have a special feature that gives you the potential for higher returns than traditional certificates offer. In return, ESL reserves the right to mature your certificate earlier than your original, stated term.

• ESL can call your certificate, which means it will mature earlier than the original term.
• After the first six months (24-month term) or first 12 months (60-month term), call certificates are reviewed and thereafter are reviewed at six-month intervals.
• If ESL calls the certificate:
  • You will receive written notification 30 days prior to the new maturity date. This notification will inform you that your certificate is being called and will inform you of the new maturity date.
  • All the funds will be available to you at the new maturity date and can be reinvested into another certificate, paid directly to you, or deposited into another ESL account.
• If ESL does not call the certificate:
  • Your call certificate will be reviewed at six-month intervals.
  • Your funds stay invested at the original APY.
