Generations accounts were successfully converted to ESL accounts on February 1, 2026.

If your account numbers remained the same:

You can continue to use your Generations checks and your Automatic Clearing House (ACH) payments, and direct deposits will continue to process.

If your account numbers changed:

  • Begin using your new ESL checks.
  • Update any existing ACH payments or direct deposits with your new account number and ESL routing number 222371863.

What You Can Expect

We’re working to make this conversion from Generations to ESL as smooth as possible. Here are some other important reminders about the conversion.

  • Account Conversion. Your Generations accounts automatically transferred to ESL on February 1, 2026.
  • You are now an ESL member! As a credit union, ESL is owned by its members — which means you’re not just a customer, you’re part of a member-owned financial cooperative. As part of the conversion process, we enrolled you as a member and opened a savings account (Membership Daily Dividend Account) and funded it with $1 on your behalf.
  • Same People. You’ll continue to see the same friendly faces at your local branches
  • Ongoing Communication. We’ll continue to provide clear instructions and updates as we work through the conversion.

We’re working to make this move from Generations to ESL as smooth as possible, so you will be hearing from us along the way. We also want to set an expectation of how we typically communicate with our customers. Safeguarding your information is our highest priority. It’s important to know that ESL will never contact you via an unsolicited phone call or text message to ask you to share your personal and/or sensitive information, such as your full or partial card number(s) or your mobile and online banking login credentials.
