Eligibility

To take advantage of ACH origination, you need to have an ESL business checking account and be a Business Online Banking user.

Using ACH Origination

Once you sign up for our ACH origination service, you’ll find that it’s easier than ever to process payments and collect receipts:

1. Sign in to ESL Business Online Banking.
   No separate login required.
2. Quickly create and upload files to guide the electronic processing of your debits and credits.
   You can also create templates that will simplify the origination process in the future.
3. Use your Security Token to approve your ACH transactions.
   Your Security Token lets you generate a one-time code for each transaction. It’s another way we help you keep your transactions and financial information safe and secure.
4. To schedule Same-Day ACH transactions, select the current date for “Effective Date” and submit your ACH origination files within the Same-Day ACH cut-off times.* (Additional fees apply. See Business Fee Schedule for details.)

Once your files are uploaded and your ACH transactions are approved, we’ll make your payments and collect receipts for you automatically. That’s all there is to it.

Transaction Time Line

• ACH transactions can be made Monday through Friday (excluding federal holidays).
• ACH transactions must be submitted by 5 p.m. EST for normal processing.
• Requests for Same-Day ACH transactions must be submitted by 9:30 a.m. EST and 1:30 p.m. EST in order to be processed on the same day. Items submitted after these cut-off times will be processed on the next business day.
